El próximo 2 de noviembre, el auditorio Margarita González del Edificio de posgrados de la facultad de Ciencias Humanas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia tendrá lugar el lanzamiento para Colombia de la sexta edición del Observatorio de salud global, libro editado por el Movimiento por la Salud de los Pueblos, en el evento bajo el título “Las luchas por la salud en colombia y el mundo” también se lanzará el libro Movilizaciones sociales por la salud en Colombia, una publicación de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana y la Universidad Nacional de Colombia con la edición de Jairo Ernesto Luna García, Mauricio Torres Tovar del MSP Colombia y Román Vega Romero, Coordinador Global del MSP.

El evento contará con la participación y presentaciones de Ronald Labonté, Profesor de la Universidad de Ottawa y coeditor del Observatorio de salud global quien presentará el OSG6, Erika Arteaga y Baj Mukhopadhyay del círculo temático del MSP sobre medio ambiente y salud de los ecosistemas hablarán del capítulo de Modelos de desarrollo, extractivismo y medio ambiente, por su parte Susana Barria del MSP abordará el tema de la Privatización de los sistemas de salud, sobre la contribución del OSG6 en la lucha por la salud y la equidad hablará René Loewenson del TARSC/EQUINET. La presentación del libro Las movilizaciones sociales por la salud en Colombia está a cargo de unos de los editores del libro, Mauricio Torres del MSP Colombia.

La bienvenida e introducción del evento la realizará el Dr. Román Vega Romero, Coordinador Global del MSP, el moderador será el Profesor Mario Hernández, coordinador del Doctorado Interfacultades en Salud Pública de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia e integrante de ALAMES-Colombia

The Struggles For Health in Colombia and the World: Launching of two books

On November 2, the Margarita González auditorium of the postgraduate Building of the Faculty of Human Sciences of the National University of Colombia in Bogotá, will host the launching for Colombia of the sixth edition of the Global Health Watch, a book edited by the People’s Health Movement, The event under the title “The struggles for health in Colombia and the world” will also launch the book Social mobilizations for health in Colombia, a publication of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia edited by Jairo Ernesto Luna García, Mauricio Torres Tovar of the PHM Colombia and Román Vega Romero, Global Coordinator of the PHM.

The event will feature the participation and presentations of Ronald Labonté, Professor at the University of Ottawa and co-editor of the Global Health Watch 6 who will present the GHW6,

Erika Arteaga and Baj Mukhopadhyay from the PHM thematic circle on environment and ecosystem health will speak on the chapter on Development Models, extractivism and environment, while Susana Barria from the PHM will address the issue of Privatization of health systems, and René Loewenson from TARSC/EQUINET will speak on the contribution of the GHW6 in the struggle for health and equity. la salud en Colombia’)’ will be in charge of one of the editors of the book, Mauricio Torres from PHM Colombia.
